I recommended using Firefox with Downthemall to download these files. Finally, be sure to confirm the checksums / hashes before beginning the install.
EDIT: Some people were having problems with these links. However, this should no longer be a problem.

The instalation doesn't get past stage 5. tryed it twice & no dice & I even let it run for the whole day :(

I'm not sure - I thought this main download package was multilingual? Have you tried Revit Architecture 2012 - Free Trial - Download - Autodesk
Do you have the product information? serial number and product key?
